Hi, I’m

Sarah Johnson.

Outsourced marketing lead for the wealth management industry.

My story took shape in financial services marketing.

A 15+ year journey shaped by a love for this industry and the stories behind it.

Where I Started

I began my marketing career in banking at Atlantic Coast Bank and later EverBank, managing campaigns, client communications, and digital programs across multiple business lines. Those roles gave me a deep understanding of compliance, segmentation, and how consistent, well-planned marketing builds trust and drives growth.

Expanding into Wealthtech

I joined SS&C as a Product Marketing Manager for Black Diamond Wealth Solutions, where I oversaw product positioning, client communications, sales materials, and feature launches. I worked closely with cross-functional teams to align marketing with product and client needs and helped elevate the platform’s presence across the advisor technology space.

Leading Marketing at Scale

At Broadridge, I was responsible for marketing across the Retirement and Workplace line of business — overseeing strategy, campaigns, and cross-channel execution for advisors, recordkeepers, and asset managers. My work spanned paid and organic programs, public relations, and event strategy, including the firm’s flagship 360 Advisor Summit, which brought together more than 700 financial professionals each year.

Partnering with Firms Across the Industry

At Ficomm Partners, I served as VP and Strategic Lead of Marketing, partnering with RIAs, banks, asset managers, and wealthtech firms to elevate how they show up in the market. I defined marketing and communication strategies, built execution plans, and guided teams through brand launches, rebrands, and M&A integrations. My role centered on connecting business goals to clear, actionable marketing programs that drive measurable results.

A Career that Led Here

I created Wealth Story Marketing to do the kind of work I love most — partnering closely with teams to build marketing that actually moves the business forward. My focus is on what matters most: a clear message, a smart plan, and meaningful execution that connects with clients.
